CPD for healthcare professionals

MIMS presents MIMS Learning
MIMS is the essential prescribing and clinical reference for UK general practice. But did you know that we also produce CPD learning on our dedicated education platform MIMS Learning? Here we showcase our learning across multiple specialties to demonstrate how using MIMS Learning alongside MIMS can benefit your practice.
MIMS Learning supports best clinical practice and enables GPs, hospital doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals in the UK to meet their CPD requirements for appraisal and revalidation. Our e-learning covers 11 key specialities: primary care, cardiology, dermatology, diabetes, women’s health, gastroenterology, mental health, oncology, paediatrics, respiratory and care of older people. Our CPD learning is second to none, offering over 500 practice-changing modules in a variety of formats (including live webinars and podcasts) to appeal to our learners’ needs.

How it works

CPD for healthcare professionals
All UK healthcare professionals are required to keep their clinical knowledge up to date, and to demonstrate their continuing fitness to practise through a system of appraisal and revalidation. For example, UK doctors must demonstrate that they have completed 50 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) each year.
E-learning and webinars form an important part of the mix, as healthcare professionals can undertake this type of learning at a time and place that suits their working lives. Once learning modules or webinars on MIMS Learning are completed, learners receive a CPD certificate that they can submit to their appraiser for discussion during their appraisal meeting.
